Hong Kong Station Recruitment Office Shortlist: IFC Address Check

Use this page to compare two current directory profiles whose displayed address fields name One or Two International Finance Centre. The table records the profile name, directory category, and address as shown on 22 July 2026. It does not rank the businesses or describe their services.

The Central and Western District directory covers the wider area. Before signing terms or sending candidate documents, check the proposed agency in the Labour Department search. The employment-agency licence guide gives a longer identity-check sequence.

Define the IFC address boundary

This shortlist uses a narrow, repeatable rule. A profile qualifies when its displayed address names One International Finance Centre or Two International Finance Centre and its directory category reads Recruiter or Executive search firm. The rule does not establish walking distance, office access, appointment availability, service scope, or licence status.

The MTR system-map page lists Hong Kong station under the Tung Chung Line and Airport Express and provides location-map and station-layout downloads. Use the current MTR map with directions supplied by the agency. This guide gives no station-exit, airport-time, or walking-time instruction.

For a broader official search, the Labour Department form includes Office Staff / Executive Search under Placement Type and Central under Location. It also accepts English and Chinese names and addresses. Those filters help repeat the search without turning an IFC address into a distance claim.

Use each profile as an identity lead. A category and address do not confirm the contracting entity, current licence record, role coverage, commercial terms, placement results, or whether the office receives visitors.

The Labour Department says an employment agency needs a licence or Certificate of Exemption before undertaking job-placement business and tells employers and job seekers to check whether an agency holds a valid licence before using it (Employment Agencies Portal).

Search the legal name on the proposal or service agreement. The official form accepts English and Chinese names and addresses, plus telephone, fax, email, region, district, and location fields. Compare the current result with the proposal and directory profile.

Ask for a written explanation of each mismatch. A shared building, brand, telephone number, or website does not by itself establish that two names identify the same entity.

Confirm the appointment and route

A directory address is not an appointment. Ask the agency to confirm the meeting format, business name at reception, building, floor, suite, host, visitor procedure, and current contact method. Record who supplied the answer and when.

Use the MTR location map and station layout for transport planning. Ask the agency for its current route from the station instead of relying on an old exit instruction.

Leave an unanswered field unresolved and confirm it before travelling.

Compare written employer terms

The Labour Department advises employers to agree service coverage, itemised fees, a reporting date where relevant, and refund or exchange terms before payment. It also recommends recording the agreed terms in a service agreement signed by both parties (Employment Agencies Portal).

Ask each agency for the same written fields:

Comparison fieldWritten answer to collect
Hiring mandateRole family, seniority, employment type, work location, and start target
Agency workSourcing, screening, interview coordination, checks, and reporting
Candidate handlingWho contacts candidates and when information goes to the employer
Commercial termsPayer, amount or basis, payment trigger, invoice date, and included work
RemedyReplacement or refund condition, time window, and exclusions
Contract identityLegal entity, signatory, address, and payment recipient

This is a request template, not a statement of what either listed profile offers. Keep a blank field open until the agency supplies a written answer.

Ask before sending a CV

The PCPD code says an employer that engages an employment agency to solicit applicant data thereby collects that data. It identifies the purpose, classes of transferees, whether providing data is optional or obligatory, and access and correction rights as notice topics on or before collection (Code of Practice on Human Resource Management).

The same code addresses retention and access controls for an employment agency holding data supplied by job seekers. Ask these questions before sending a CV or another candidate document:

Data questionAnswer to collect
PurposeWhich role or search will use the document?
RecipientWhich employer or recipient classes may receive it?
ChoiceWhich fields are optional, and what happens if the candidate omits them?
RetentionHow long will the agency keep the document and for which purpose?
AccessWhich staff roles may access it?
CorrectionWhich contact handles access and correction requests?
Further useWill the agency seek consent before using it for another role or recipient?

Keep the notice or written answer with the CV version you sent. A general privacy-page link does not answer the role, recipient, retention, and correction questions for a specific submission.

Common questions

Does this page rank the two profiles?

No. The table includes profiles under one address-and-category rule and assigns no score. It does not compare reputation, service quality, or placement outcomes.

How does this guide define the Hong Kong Station area?

It does not draw a distance radius. The shortlist is limited to profiles whose displayed address names One or Two International Finance Centre. Use the current MTR map and directions supplied by the agency to plan a visit.

Are these the closest recruitment offices to Hong Kong Station?

The guide makes no closest-office claim. It records two exact IFC address fields that meet the stated category rule. It does not measure distance or claim the list is complete.

Does an IFC address prove a valid employment-agency licence?

No. Search the legal name from the proposal or agreement in the Labour Department agency search. Use the address to compare identities, not as a substitute for the official record.

Select Office Staff / Executive Search under Placement Type and Central under Location in the Labour Department form. Add a business name or address when checking a specific proposal.

Does the directory category prove sector expertise?

No. It records the category displayed on the profile. Ask for a written explanation of the proposed work, named team, and role coverage for your mandate.

What should I confirm before visiting an office?

Confirm the meeting format, building, floor, suite, business name at reception, host, visitor procedure, and route supplied by the agency. Record who confirmed the details and when.

What should I ask before sending a CV?

Ask for the purpose, recipient classes, optional fields, retention period, access controls, and correction contact. The PCPD code provides the basis for those questions.
